Embracing the Ridiculous was “an evening dedicated to queer politics of laughter” that took place to celebrate the  Institute for Queer Theory’s ten-year anniversary.

Based in Berlin, the Institute for Queer Theory is a center for research, theorizing and international exchange in the fields of gender and sexuality studies and queer theory. The institute is committed to social change and aims at transforming the prevailing normative order that relies on the sex/gender binary and dominant heterosexuality.
